James Brown, MD
Dr. Brown attended medical school at Florida State University’s College of Medicine here in Tallahassee, Florida. He then completed his residency in Internal Medicine with FSU’s Internal Medicine Residency program at TMH, concluding with a year as Chief Resident.
His certifications include the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine. He currently practices at Southern Medical Group, P.A., and holds privileges at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare.
Dr. Brown is passionate about being accessible and attentive, and listening well to his patients, while providing them with both preventative and acute care. “Listen to your patient; he is telling you the diagnosis.” - Sir William Osler
When not at work he enjoys spending time with his wife, Shelbi, his family, gardening, and the quiet thrills of the Panhandle’s swamps and waterways.

Roberto Camacho, MD
Dr. Camacho received his Doctorate of Medicine from Florida International University’s College of Medicine in Miami, Florida. He completed both his Residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, Alabama.
His certifications include the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and he is board eligible for Cardiovascular Disease. Dr. Camacho currently practices at Southern Medical Group, P.A., and holds privileges at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare.
When not seeing patients, you’ll find Dr. Camacho spending time with his family, at the beach, or grilling. Dr. Camacho lives with his wife, two sons, and two rescue dogs - Jackson and Stella.

Shane P. McEntire, MD
Please welcome Southern Medical Group’s newest vascular surgeon, Dr. Shane P. McEntire! Dr. McEntire attended medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine in Little Rock, Arkansas. He completed his residency in general surgery at Tripler Army Medical Center, U.S. Army, in Honolulu, Hawaii. He then completed his fellowship in vascular surgery at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.
His certifications include the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Vascular Surgery. He currently practices at Southern Medical Group, P.A., and holds privileges at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare.
Dr. McEntire is passionate about learning and challenges himself to learn something new every day. He continuously studies vascular surgery and works on perfecting his surgical skills to provide the best care for his patients.
